I have never had an appointment at Body Smart Health, however, Body Smart Health fraudulently deducted money from my NDIS funding for a service that never happened. I had an appointment booked, I needed to reschedule the appointment as I was unwell and the receptionist left me a voicemail stating I would not be charged for rescheduling the appointment. However, the following day Body Health Smart made a fraudulent deduction of $193.99 from my NDIS funding stating it was for a service. I am shocked and appalled that Body Smart Health not only committed fraud but is also taking advantage of vulnerable registered NDIS recipients.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
