About

Housing Choices Australia has partnered with Nightingale Housing to deliver Specialist Disability Accommodation that is designed with community in mind.

About Nightingale Anstey

With the Anstey Train Station directly bounding the west, the new park on West Street 2 blocks to the south, and Sydney Road to the east, Nightingale Anstey is ideally positioned to support a life that is more socially, environmentally and financially sustainable.

This 8-storey multi-residential building is broken up into 2 communities; a Laneway community housing 31 apartments and a Station community housing 23. The 2 communities have separate secure entries via a planted forecourt off the west. Each community has dedicated rooftop spaces with laundry facilities, vegetable gardens, shed and bathhouse and share communal bike storage and waste rooms.

Since the building was sold in October 2019, the Nightingale Anstey community has been meeting every 6-weeks to learn about the progress of the construction and to learn more about life in a Nightingale home. As a future resident, you will be invited to take part in this process if you wish, and become part of the community early.

Designed to support community, Nightingale only sell to owner-occupiers or Community Housing Providers and their commitment to create robust, diverse and equitable communities on offer are the following apartments

Your questions, answered

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
